Paid ads reports and campaign comparisons

Connect Google Ads, compare advertising results and explicitly pair paid reports with an organic campaign.

Campaign content arranged in a publishing calendar

Open Campaigns & insights → Paid ads reports to connect Google Ads and create a report. Advertising connections are separate from social publishing connections.

Connect and select an account

Choose Connect Google Ads, sign in with the Google account that can access your advertising accounts and complete authorization. Select the account for your report. Agency manager logins can expose multiple accessible client accounts. Select the correct workspace before connecting.

Name your report and choose up to 90 days. Leave campaign selection empty to include all campaigns, or narrow it to selected advertising campaigns. The reporting timezone and currency come from the advertising account.

Read a report

The report shows spend, impressions, clicks and available conversion metrics, with the preceding period for context. Reports refresh in the background. Use Refresh status to check a queued report and Refresh report to request an update when needed.

Missing data is marked unavailable. A provider-reported zero is different from missing tracking. Recent conversion figures can change as providers process late conversions.

Compare ads

In Paid ads reports → Ad comparisons, select reports, then choose two to six ads. Ads can come from different accounts or supported networks. Choose a focus metric such as CPC, CPA, CTR, CPM or ROAS.

Review the insight summary before examining the table. Comparisons retain account currencies, dates, timezones and conversion definitions. Costs in different currencies are not ranked. Conversion metrics from different networks may reflect different events and attribution rules.

This is observational comparison, not a randomized A/B test. Different audiences, placements, bidding strategies and delivery can explain a performance difference. Use the evidence to decide what controlled experiment to run in your advertising platform.

Pair organic and paid reports

Open Organic vs paid and select Create comparison. Choose a Postly campaign and the paid reports that belong to it. Confirm matching report dates and save the pairing.

Pairing is always explicit. Similar names or dates never link reports automatically. Campaign reports and Paid ads reports remain focused on their own results; all pairing is managed on Organic vs paid.

Organic provider metrics can be lifetime counters for content created during the chosen period, while paid metrics measure advertising activity during the period. Post counters may include boosted activity. Read the measurement note rather than treating these as identical windows or adding their reach into a unique audience total.

Removing a pairing preserves the campaign and original reports.

Reconnect or disconnect

Reconnect when authorization expires or account access changes. If your new login cannot access an account used by an existing report, that report needs attention; its saved results remain available.

Disconnecting stops future advertising refreshes and removes the stored reporting credentials. It does not disconnect social publishing accounts. Reports retain their last refresh dates so saved data is not mistaken for current performance.

Export results

Open a completed report and select Export CSV for daily detail or Export PDF for a summary. Exports retain reporting dates, currencies and measurement context. Platform-reported conversions are not deduplicated customers or independently attributed revenue.
