Open Platform settings in the composer to tailor the post for X (Twitter). Available options can depend on the selected account, content type, and API rules set by X (Twitter).

How to publish on X (Twitter) with Postly

Open Social Accounts, choose the platform, and complete the platform's authorization flow.

Create or import content
Write a post, generate a draft with AI, reuse a template, or add content in bulk.

Open platform settings
Choose the destination, format, audience, engagement, link, and media options available for this channel.
- STEP 4
Preview and review
Check the channel preview, resolve media guidance, and send the post through approval when needed.

Publish or schedule
Publish immediately, choose a date and time, or use a recurring schedule where the platform supports it.
X connection guide
Connect your X developer app to Postly
Follow the original five-step setup guide. A paid X API plan is required, and the credentials must come from an app you control.

Create a new X app
Open the X Developer Console, go to Projects & Apps, and create a new client application for Postly.

Save the generated credentials
Copy the credentials shown by X, then open Keys and Tokens for the Bearer Token, OAuth 1.0 keys, and OAuth 2.0 keys. Some values may only be shown once.

Configure user authentication
Open User authentication settings, choose the required permissions and app type, and continue to the callback configuration.

Add the callback and app information
Enter Postly’s callback URL, then use your own website, organization, terms, and privacy-policy URLs for the remaining app fields.

Connect the X app in Postly
Return to Postly, open the X connection window, and enter the Client ID, Client Secret, and Bearer Token from your X app.
