Official API:

1. Postly uses the official Meta API for Facebook and Instagram integrations. This ensures that our users have the best experience, security and protection.

Instagram publishing:

1. a. Multiple Images & Videos.
2. b. Instagram Carousel Post with up to 10 images.
3. c. Tag users on Instagram posts and on Stories images.
4. d. Add 1st comment to posts.
5. e. Image with a width of at least 1080 pixels with an aspect ratio between 1.91:1 and 4:5.
6. f. For full specification, please check the link: Instagram Image specification. Please note that uploading via Postly is managed by the Facebook API and will provide a different experience than upload via the Instagram platforms.

Instagram Post:

1. a. Video must be MP4 or MOV.
2. b. Instagram Post: video up to 1GB, min 3 secs, max 15 mins, 1080 x 1920px.
3. c. All Instagram Video posts under fifteen minutes will be automatically published as Reels. Instagram Reels guide.

Instagram Reels:

1. a. Video must be MP4 or MOV.
2. b. Instagram Reels: video up to 1GB, min 3 secs, max 15 mins, 1080 x 1920px.

Instagram Stories:

1. a. Video must be MP4 or MOV.
2. b. Instagram Stories: video up to 100MB, min 3 secs, max 60 secs, 1080 x 1920px.

Instagram platform connection.

1. a. Instagram connects via your Facebook account. Ensure Facebook is connected first, then connect Instagram. If reconnecting, disconnect Instagram first. Keep both active and connected.
2. b. Only Instagram Business or Professional Accounts can be published from the web.
3. c. You can publish to personal profiles and Creator accounts using the Share Post feature on the mobile app.
4. d. Must have a Facebook page you have admin access. Full admin access is required, Content admin and others are not allowed.

1. Connect Facebook to Instagram Account Center: Link your Facebook account to your Instagram Account Center.

2. Connect your Instagram account to a Facebook page: Connect your Instagram account to a Facebook page. Each Instagram account must be connected to a unique Facebook page. If you need multiple connections, then you would have to create multiple Facebook pages.

3. Connecting multiple Instagram accounts: Instagram connects via Facebook only. You would have to follow the same steps you did for connecting the first Instagram account.

Platform connection permissions:

1. a. You must be a Super Admin (LinkedIn), Admin (most platforms), Manager(Google Business Profile), Channel owner (YouTube) to the accounts. Content Admin and other sub-admin roles are not allowed.
2. b. Please accept ALL permissions while connecting your account.
3. c. Some account connections expire every 60 days, ensure to reconnect your account periodically for a good experience.
4. d. Reconnecting your account does not affect already scheduled posts, they will still be published at the scheduled time.
5. e. Note that logging out of your social platforms, changing your social media account password, or login details will affect your connections here, reconnect to ensure a good experience.

Multiple accounts connection:

1. a. Some platforms do not allow multiple accounts on the same browser session.
2. b. You would have to first sign in to all your Facebook accounts on a different browser tab and then switch to each to connect it to Postly.
3. c. Alternatively, you can sign in/sign out to one account at a time, while connecting each to Postly.
