Install Postly from your browser for an app icon and a dedicated window. Your account and workspaces stay the same. No browser extension needed.
Windows · Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- Open app.postly.ai and sign in to your Postly account.
- In Chrome, choose the install icon in the address bar, or the browser menu option to install the page as an app. In Edge, open Settings and more, then More tools > Apps > Install this site as an app (or the address-bar install icon).
- Confirm installation. Open Postly from Start or its shortcut; you can pin it to the taskbar.
Android · Chrome
- Open app.postly.ai in Chrome.
- Open the browser menu and choose Add to Home screen, then Install if offered. Labels vary by browser and Android version.
- Launch Postly from its app icon. Other Android browsers may also support installation.
iPhone and iPad · Safari
- Open app.postly.ai in Safari.
- Tap Share and choose Add to Home Screen. If shown, enable Open as Web App, then tap Add. If the action is missing, check Edit Actions.
- Open Postly from the Home Screen and sign in if asked.
Mac · Safari, Chrome or Microsoft Edge
- On macOS Sonoma 14 or later, open app.postly.ai in Safari and choose File → Add to Dock (or Share → Add to Dock). Confirm the name and choose Add.
- In Chrome or Edge, use the browser's install option when available.
- Launch Postly from the Dock, Applications or its shortcut. Sign in if asked.
Browser menus vary by version and device. If installation isn’t offered, you can always use Postly in your browser.
What is a progressive web app (PWA)?
It is the Postly website installed with an app icon and its own window on supported browsers. It uses the same Postly account, workspaces and web features. Browser installation does not require a Chrome Web Store extension or a store download.
Do I need a separate account or subscription?
No separate Postly account is required. Sign in with your existing account; your plan and workspace permissions still apply. Installation does not purchase or change a subscription. Some browsers keep the installed app's sign-in separate, so you may need to sign in again.
Does it work offline or send notifications?
Postly requires an internet connection for account access, content, publishing and synchronization. Installing it does not enable offline editing, background synchronization or push notifications. Do not rely on unsaved work being available offline.
How do updates work?
The installed web app loads updates from Postly's website. Reopen or refresh it to pick up changes. Store-distributed native apps receive updates through their respective stores.
Why is the install option missing?
Use a supported, updated browser outside private browsing. The app may already be installed, or your organization may restrict installation. Browser menus and support vary by device and version. You can always use app.postly.ai directly.
Can I remove the installed app?
Yes. Use your device's normal uninstall or remove-app controls, or the installed browser app's menu. Removing the shortcut/app does not cancel your subscription or delete your Postly account; manage those separately in Postly.
Where are the store download links?
Apps labeled Coming soon are awaiting public availability. A reserved store address does not mean the app can be downloaded. Download links will be enabled after each listing is verified live; availability and supported devices may vary by region.
