Quick Start

Getting Started with WhatsApp in Postly

Connect WhatsApp Business through Meta Embedded Signup, then use Postly for compliant templates, replies, scheduling, bulk campaigns and exports.

Free-form WhatsApp messages are only allowed inside the active 24-hour customer service window. Templates are required for new conversations, expired windows and bulk campaigns.

Workflow

  1. 1Click Connect WhatsApp from the Postly channel connection screen.
  2. 2Complete Meta Embedded Signup by selecting or creating a Business, WABA and phone number.
  3. 3Approve whatsapp_business_messaging and whatsapp_business_management.
  4. 4Let Postly sync the WABA ID, Phone Number ID, Business ID, token and webhooks.
  5. 5Create or sync approved templates before scheduling new conversations or bulk campaigns.

Inside 24 hours

Free-form replies are allowed when the user recently messaged the business.

New outreach

Bulk campaigns

CSV and Google Sheets sends should use templates and opt-in contacts.

What the user owns

The user owns the WhatsApp Business Account, sending phone number and Meta billing relationship.

What Postly manages
