Google Business Profile offer checklist for multiple locations

Prepare location-specific Google Business Profile offers with accurate dates, terms, links and a separate result check for every location.

By the Postly Team

Before you start

Collect the participating locations, offer dates and conditions. An update, event and offer serve different purposes. Product posts are not supported by Google's publishing API.

Prepare and review the release

  1. Choose only the locations where the offer applies. Check local opening hours and whether every location can honor the advertised terms.
  2. Use an Offer for a time-limited promotion, an Event for an event, or an Update for a general announcement. A product can be promoted in an Update with a link; that does not create a Product post.
  3. Enter the available date, coupon, terms and destination fields. Read the final copy as a customer who has never seen the campaign brief.
  4. Review and schedule each location's version. After release, inspect each result rather than treating one successful location as proof that all locations published.

Worked example

Two bakeries run a weekend coffee-and-pastry offer, but a third location does not. The campaign selects only the participating profiles, names the valid dates and links to the offer terms. The reviewer checks both published profiles separately.

If something goes wrong

  • One location fails: preserve its error and retry only after checking that location's access and content.
  • Offer expired: update or end the campaign instead of leaving an evergreen schedule attached to dated terms.
  • Product type unavailable: use an appropriate Update or manage product information through Google's supported product interface.
