Social-to-email campaign checklist for connected providers

Adapt a social campaign for email with a useful subject, accurate audience selection, checked links and a provider-specific final review.

By the Postly Team

Before you start

Choose the connected email provider and intended audience. Postly lists ActiveCampaign, Beehiiv, Brevo, Kit and Mailchimp; the selected provider and account determine available campaign actions.

Prepare and review the release

  1. Rewrite the social message for the inbox. Give the subject a specific promise and include the context a reader needs without seeing the original social post.
  2. Check the sender identity and selected audience in the provider workflow. Confirm the campaign should reach that audience before scheduling or sending.
  3. Preview the body, images and primary link. Check a text-only reading of the message and ensure the destination explains the offer in full.
  4. Inspect the selected provider's final campaign state. A saved draft, a scheduled campaign and a completed send are different outcomes; record the one that actually occurred.

Worked example

A short product demonstration becomes an email with the subject 'See the new export format in one example'. The body explains the use case and links to the full walkthrough. It does not paste a context-free social caption or treat every subscriber as a current customer.

If something goes wrong

  • Wrong audience selected: correct it before progressing beyond the provider's review stage.
  • Campaign is only a draft: inspect the supported next action instead of assuming creation meant delivery.
  • Images blocked: ensure the main message and link still work as text.
