Setup guide
Connect Postly to Make and build your first publishing scenario
Connect with an API key, discover workspaces and channels, map a scheduled text post, and check the resulting Postly post.

1.Create the Postly connection
Generate a separate API key for Make from Postly API access. Add a Postly module in your scenario, create a connection, and paste the key into the API Key field.
2.Find your workspace and channel
Run List Workspaces, then pass the intended Workspace ID into List Connected Channels. Keep the channel ID and platform identifier for the destination you intend to use.
3.Map Schedule a Post
Provide Workspace ID, a stable Source Record ID, Channel ID, Platform Identifier, Post Text, and a future Scheduled At value. Do not substitute the current time or generate a different source ID on retries.
4.Test and inspect
Run a single controlled record. Keep the returned post_id and inspect it with Get a Post. Check both the Make execution log and the actual scheduled item in Postly.
5.Extend the scenario carefully
Add filters so only approved records reach scheduling. Use Make an API Call for documented endpoints, with relative paths such as /v1/workspaces. Postly API eligibility and destination requirements still apply.
Check the result
- The connection test succeeds.
- Discovery results match the intended brand or client.
- A failed row is treated as a failure even if the HTTP request completed.
- You can retrieve the scheduled post using its returned ID.
