Link-in-BioManual + Publish-time updatesHosted on postly.bio
Instagram — Link-in-Bio Setup
Set one Link-in-Bio URL in your Instagram profile (manually), then keep your links updated from Postly — manually or during publishing.
How it works
- Create a Link-in-Bio page in Postly (hosted on postly.bio).
- Copy your Link-in-Bio URL and paste it into your profile bio manually (Postly never edits your profile fields).
- Add links manually on the bio page — or add links while publishing posts in Postly (Post Preview).
- Optionally set link expirations so promos auto-remove when they’re no longer relevant.
Bio Page & Link Management (postly.bio)
- Your public bio pages are hosted on postly.bio (e.g., https://postly.bio/your-slug).
- Manual links: add a URL (and optional expiry) directly on the bio page editor.
- Automated links: while publishing, use the Post Preview “Link-in-Bio” section to add a URL (and optional expiry).
- Expired links are automatically removed from the live page.
Platform specifics
- Most traffic will come from profile taps — keep your bio link visible and consistent.
- Use a clear CTA in captions like “🔗 Link in bio” when referencing an offer or resource.
- If you rotate campaigns often, use expirations so old links don’t linger.
Best practices
- Keep your bio call-to-action short and direct (e.g., “Start here ↓”).
- Use expirations for limited-time promos and launches.
- Put your best-performing link first and keep the rest minimal.

Do / Don’t
Do
- Keep your bio call-to-action short and direct (e.g., “Start here ↓”).
- Use expirations for limited-time promos and launches.
- Put your best-performing link first and keep the rest minimal.
Don’t
- Don’t change your bio link every day — keep it stable and update the page instead.
- Don’t overload the page with too many links; prioritize your top 3–7.
Common issues & fixes
- Issue: People can’t find the link
Fix: Move your CTA higher in the caption and ensure your bio link is set correctly in your Instagram profile. - Issue: Old promos remain on the page
Fix: Add expirations to time-sensitive links so they auto-remove.
Postly tips
- Use expirations for flash sales, launches, or limited offers so your page stays clean.
- Pin your most important link at the top (or re-order links) so visitors see it first.
- For campaigns, create a dedicated bio page per brand/product and rotate it in your profile as needed.
FAQs

- Core analytics only: page views, unique visitors, a simple daily traffic trend, and link clicks (including top-performing links).
- Can I use a custom domain?
- Custom domains are available on Team and on the Link-in-Bio Add-on. Basic does not include custom domains.
- Do I need to change my Instagram bio link for every post?
- No. Keep your Postly bio page link static in your profile and update the links on the page instead (manually or during publishing).
