Subreddit selection and flair are part of the publishing workflow, not details to bolt on at the end.

Direct Reddit link posts are often filtered or removed. For better deliverability, create a text, image, or video post and place links in the first comment.

Workflow

  1. 1Choose the subreddit before finalizing the post.
  2. 2Review its rules, moderation notes and self-promotion expectations.
  3. 3Load available flair dynamically where Reddit supports it.
  4. 4Select the flair that best matches the post intent.
  5. 5Recheck title, body, media and first comment against that community's rules.

Reddit text post. Safest for context and community value.

Text + media

Image or video media post with supporting text.

Text + link

Discouraged. Move the link to the first comment.

Flair is community-specific

A flair value that exists in one subreddit may not exist in another. Postly should load flair dynamically for the selected subreddit where supported.

Rules shape post type

Some communities restrict links, images, videos or promotional language. Those rules should guide the publishing format.

Subreddit-aware calendars

A Reddit calendar should show where each post is going, not only when it publishes.

BYO Reddit app reminder

Postly provides the redirect URL. You provide the Client ID and Client Secret from your Reddit app. This keeps publishing tied to your own app and avoids a Postly shared publishing identity.
