
Publishing the same content on multiple platforms
You can publish the same video for all platforms because the platforms have a similar video-format range. However, Instagram and TikTok are very sensitive and you have to meet their specific video-format requirements as specified below.
We recommend that you always use the Preview page to manage content on the different platforms before publishing.
How to resolve publishing issues
For all content issues, check the bell icon notification at the top right corner of the dashboard to view the error message and make necessary corrections.
The issues are also reported as “Target Failed” red highlighted text at the top right corner of the published post. Click on it to view the error message and make adjustments.
Also, the system has an Image Transformer that detects faulty images and automatically fixes the sizes per platform with the click of a button.

Instagram Video Posts
Videos posts can only be between 3 and 60 seconds long and have a size no bigger than 100MB.
Videos formats are MP4, and MOV.
Videos must be 1080 x 1080 px.

Instagram Image Posts
Carousels can be up to 10 Images. At the moment, videos cannot be included in a carousel post.
Upload a photo with a width of at least 1080 pixels with an aspect ratio between 1.91:1 and 4:5.

Instagram Reels and Stories
Video must be MP4 or MOV
Video for Instagram Reels and Stories must be 1080 x 1920 px
The maximum length of video for the Instagram Reel is 90 seconds.
The maximum length of video for Instagram Stories is 60 seconds.

Note that Instagram Reels and Stories cannot be published at the same time.

In addition to the above, Instagram has introduced a new method of managing Reels. All Instagram Video posts under fifteen minutes will be automatically published as Reels, even though the videos were published via the normal Instagram video publishing method from Postly. Learn more

Facebook Post
Post types: Multiple Images & Videos, Links.
Image formats: PNG, JPEG, GIFs, etc.
You can publish up to 10 images in one post.
Video formats: MP4, MOV
Image size: 8MB maximum.
Video formats: Regular and Vertical: We support Wide Videos (16:9) as well as Vertical Videos (9:16)

Facebook Image
The image must be less than 8MB in size. Format: JPEG, PNG, GIF(Facebook only)
The image must be less than 8MB in size.
Aspect ratio: Must be within a 4:5 to 1.91:1 range
Minimum width: 320 (will be scaled up to the minimum if necessary)
Maximum width: 1440 (will be scaled down to the maximum if necessary)

At the moment, you cannot publish images and videos at the same time on Facebook. If you combine them, then only the video will be published. as the API will remove the image.

Twitter Publishing
Single Tweets
Threads – automatically generated (user can edit on Preview page)
Twitter Polls
Twitter: keep the video length to 120 seconds.
Video format: MP4 only
You can upload up to 4 Images per tweet. If you have a Thread, then each tweet on the Thread can contain 4 images.
Images should be less than 5MB.

LinkedIn Publishing
Single Image and Video Posts
You can upload up to 9 images per post
Video length – from 3 seconds to 30 minutes
Images should be less than 5MB.
The video should be from 75KB to 200MB

TikTok Publishing
You can publish videos only on TikTok. Below are the video limits:
Supported media formats: MP4 (recommended), WebM, Mov
Supported Codecs: H.264 (recommended), H.265, VP8, VP9
Framerate restrictions: Minimum of 23 FPS, Maximum of 60 FPS
Video resolution: Minimum of 360 pixels (but it may reduce the video quality) and a maximum of 1080 x 1920.
Duration restrictions:
All TikTok creators can post 3-minute videos, while some have access to post 5-minute or 10-minute videos.
The longest video a developer can send via the initialize Upload Video endpoint is 10 minutes. TikTok users may trim developer-sent videos inside the TikTok app to fit their accounts’ maximum publish durations.
Size restrictions: Maximum of 50MB.

YouTube Publishing
YouTube accepts Video posts only
YouTube Shorts: YouTube automatically converts any video upload below 60 seconds to Shorts.

Google Business Profile Publishing
Publish only one image at a time
Does not accept video content
