Setting up your Facebook account
- Please accept all permissions while connecting your account
- Note that logging out of your social platforms, changing your social media account password, or login details will affect your connections here, reconnect to ensure a good experience.
- Some account connections expire every 60 days, ensure to reconnect your account periodically for a good experience.
- Reconnecting your account does not affect already scheduled posts. They will still be published at the scheduled time.
Connect Facebook Pages
Before you can use Postly with Facebook Pages, you must do the following:
- You must be an admin to the Facebook Page.
- Full admin access is required, Content admin and others are not allowed.
- Use the personal profile account that created the Pages to add them to Postly.
- The Pages will display automatically, then you can connect them.
Connect Facebook Groups
Before you can use Postly with Facebook Groups, you must do the following:
- You must be an admin to the Facebook Group.
- Full admin access is required, Content admin and others are not allowed.
- Install the Postly app on the Facebook Group.
Install the Postly app on Facebook Groups
You need to be the owner or admin of the Facebook Group to install the Postly app.
Make sure you have the right permissions before you continue.
Then follow the below instructions:
- Go to the Facebook Group by clicking Groups in the left menu, and pick the group you want to install the app on.
- In the group, click Group settings from the left menu.
- Scroll to the bottom and click Apps.
- Click Add apps.
- Search for “Postly” and click on the app.
- Finally, click Add.
Connecting Multiple Accounts
Some platforms do not allow multiple accounts on the same browser session.
- You would have to first of all sign in to all your Facebook accounts on a different browser tab and then switch to each in order to connect it to Postly.
- Alternatively, you can sign in/sign out to one account at a time, while connecting each to Postly.
Missing Facebook Groups
If a Facebook Group is not showing up, please do the following:
- Disconnect/revoke and reconnect the account.
- Remove and re-add the Postly app
- As a last resort if the above fail, you can leave the Group (after making someone else admin), then rejoin and be made admin again.
